I headed out to lunch and the elevator smelled like fried rice. A few people got on at another floor. I was hoping they didn’t think it was me. Then they started talking about Chinese food.  I wondered if it was because of the smell. Anyway,  I ended up getting Chinese.

I went to this Chinese take-out spot in the Flatiron area. I’m not sure what it’s called because it says Hong Win on the awning, Great Wall One on the sign and Chen’s on the menu. I couldn’t decide quick enough and picked the Chicken with Chinese Vegetables lunch special $6. I hadn’t had white sauce in a long time. I’ve been on brown for a while now. It was filling.

“Chickity China The Chinese Chicken” — I had that song in my head all day. Well just that one line. Is that racist?
