my fav banh mi place is close for lunch. i walk around and see good dumpling house. i dont know how to read signs. i just point. small portion, but plop down big steam pork bun and makes huge meal. only $4.25 for all. i get menu to go. menu looks pricey and i never think this is same place. maybe menu is for white people?
place next door looks even grander with bigger window full of peking duck and chicken and pans of food. i have no idea how to order because food would be too far to point. maybe i point from outside at window? or maybe i bring friend that speak chinese?

Looks good, but if I call anything I prepare “Chinese”, my BF “BigBear” goes berserk and slaps me around. He hates chinese.
I am going to call it something else so that I do not once again end up in the emergency room.
