I was curious about grilled bacon but never tried it. i thought it would create flames because of all the fat, and make a lot of mess to clean up after. Does it?

nope, just keep it on the lowest setting.

Grilling bacon works great on my weber since the cast iron grates hold the strips well and the fat melts off. Problems happen after repeated usage since the fat builds up inside the grill. It will eventually catch fire and could hose whatever you’re cooking at the time. I have since started cooking bacon on the grill in a tin foil pan lined with aluminum foil. No grill marks but it keeps my cheeseburger dinners as a one appliance meal.
