Greetings from the Evergreen State of Washington!

Hey, kids! Here I am again, popping up like a sea serpent. I just wanted to check in and share some funny artificial intelligence with you.

Some of you may remember way back when when I still drove a truck and was honored to regularly contribute to this blog for a number of years. It was a hoot writing “Tio Wally Eats America”, not to mention a great diversion to fill my downtime and of which I have many fond memories.

That said, I ran across this recently and had to laugh for a number of reasons, beginning with AI misattributing its authorship.

Here’re a few things AI got breathtakingly wrong:

It wasn’t my blog as AI implied. MightySweet.com is owned by Jason Lam, of Brooklyn, New York.

Fun Fact: To my great misfortune I’ve never met or spoken to Jason in person. Moreover, I’ve only driven through New York City; it’s my understanding truck parking is limited, even in the boroughs, so I wisely stayed on the Interstate.

• My last name isn’t Ferrier. Hell, I’m not even a ferrier — I’ve never shoed a horse in my goldarn life!

Fun Fact: [Walter “Wally” Ferrier] is the Chair of and Professor in the Department of Management in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. And frankly I don’t see a resemblance.

(For comparison here is the only photo of me to ever appear on this blog, on September 15, 2013, taken at Skyline Chili in Troy, Ohio. Please note: I haven’t changed a bit! I’m still terminally handsome and still the biggest jag-off on 18 wheels.)

Moreover I also hold no advanced degrees, except for maybe in “General Assholery” for which I deserve an MFA.

Fun Sidenote: I’ve emailed Dr. Ferrier to alert him to his exciting (former) career but haven’t heard back. I’m now starting to wonder if maybe he’s been receiving what surely must be my voluminous [Soundcloud]<https://soundcloud.com/tiowally> fan mail after all these years.

• The SS Me So Hungry was not a “custom RV” or “large RV.” It was a semi-truck, as in the “If you bought, we brought it”™ variety. I often referred to it as an 80-ton land yacht or a 75-foot street scow or some other term of endearment.

Fun Fact: To the best of my knowledge neither Peterbilt (DildoBuilt®) or Freightliner (FreightShaker®) ever built RVs. Personally I don’t consider a recreational vehicle and a big rig interchangeable but, hey, I’m only artificially intelligent.

Other than that … I want to thank AI for the flattering bio and, more so, Jason for allowing me so many opportunities to share my culinary adventures with y’all. ‘Twas a lot of fun.

Cheers to all! Be kind and eat well!!

And so we roll.
