This Jja Jang Men (jajangmyeon) is wheat noodles and black bean sauce –popular in Korea.
Name: Jja Jang Men Noodle
Brand: Paldo
Contents: Brick of noodles and jajang sauce packet
Cooking: 5mins with 2 cups of boiling water. Heat the sauce packet in boiling water for a minute then mix it with the noodles.
Results: Very strong salty/sweet sauce, like hoisen or oyster sauce. The sauce had bits of potato and cabbage (I think). Tasted great after I added garlic chili paste to it. Nice thick noodles. I’d buy this again.

Yeah, I’m getting to the point where I can’t remember how much it was. So long ago. Maybe around $1.39?

Found this via Tastespotting – love the quirky blog entries. Where in NYC did you buy the noodles?

Thanks! I got these in Sunset Park, Brooklyn at Fei Long Supermarket. They had a pretty big aisle of all these different instant noodles I’ve never seen before. I imagine you can also try the Hong Kong Supermarkets around town too.
