Today was the dance of the Giglio Feast. I kept thinking it was “gigilo” or “Gigli.” Jody and Christa saved us a great spot at the beer tent right across from the tall Giglio tower. Best seats in the house with $3 Buds. Italian guys lifting and spinning the tower around and marching it down the street while a band played on top. Shared some zeppoles. Good thing you can’t tell how I try to pronounce these on here. No matter that I accidentally inhaled the powered sugar when taking a bite, the Zeppoles were tasty and hot. I once had cold ones years ago and it was like eating cold McDonald’s fries. I also got Pork Bracciole (braciole) on a roll. A little bland. It would have been nice with some sauce like chimichurri.
…so there’s a bunch of words in there that I have a hard time pronouncing.
