To meet Judson, Lara and Aaron for some March Madness. I stopped by Thai Me Up to try their Thai sandwich. Sounds awesome. Thai stir fry on a French baguette –a Thai style banh mi. I got the beef with white ginger sauce (coconut, ginger, lemongrass). That is one of the tastiest sandwiches. It’s up there with the #1 Pork banh mi. Make sure you sauce it up with their fancy sauce and hot sauce. While I was there, the owner was drilling his employees on how to cook the right way. Reminded me of Hell’s Kitchen. I guess that’s a good thing …an owner who cares about his product.

Then off to Professor Thom’s to watch the b-ball. I had to try the deep fried mac n cheese. Brilliant idea, poorly executed. I think it’s actually from the grocer’s frozen food aisle. And they’re wimpy sized. They should take a whole dish/bowl of fresh plump mac n cheese and plop it down in the fryer –fry it up until it looks like a giant Rice Krispie square. And use Gruy√®re cheese. Fancy cheese! Or do I just think it’s fancy because it has that accent mark?
