Seamless Picnic Day is upon us this Wednesday July 29th in NYC. Seamless, the popular food delivery service, is teaming up with Luke’s Lobster for a special gourmet picnic basket. You get a lobster roll, bean salad, bag of chips, a pickle, a bottle of water, a checkered picnic napkin, a pair of Seamless sunglasses and a Seamless picnic blanket (only provided for in park pickup orders) for only $12. That’s a great deal considering the lobster roll by itself is normally $16.
They sent me a picnic basket and blanket to my office to try out. So I pushed all the empty Amazon.com boxes farther under my desk, moved the exercise ball I haven’t used in years and laid the soft picnic blanket down in my cubicle. It was fun to have a picnic at work. You just have to be careful of any push pins that have fallen from the cubicle walls onto the floor.
I love the Luke’s Lobster’s lobster roll. Nice seasoning and buttery bun. Although, I think lobster rolls are even better with a lot of mayonnaise, IMHO. I’ll probably get in trouble for saying that amongst the lobster roll purists. But whatever. I always keep mayonnaise packets at my desk.
You can get your own picnic basket at this link —Seamless Picnic Day (7/29 from 12pm-2:30pm in Manhattan) –for pickup at select city parks (Flatiron Plaza & Columbus Circle), or available for delivery in a few other areas of Manhattan (Midtown East, Midtown West, East Village and the Financial District). Have a picnic in the park like a normal person or in your cubicle like me!
