There’s this huge motorcycle garage/bar/Barbecue restaurant/music venue that recently opened up right off the Jefferson L stop in Bushwick, aka Jefftown. I just can’t believe how huge it is. Big American flag behind the stage with a backline. Sports on several TVs. Looks like it’ll be a good spot to watch football when Fall rolls around. Not many places to watch football while eating food in this area.
Even though it’s in soft open right now, I’ve come by a couple of times. First time I had the Bloody Mary with the Rib in it. Looks awesome. Rib was cold though. I guess it has to be, because it would fuck up the Bloody Mary. I came back and got the ribs hot and they are really good. Great rub flavor on the bark. And the pulled pork sandwich was tasty. Really good barbecue for New York. And for barbecue not being existent (previously) in Bushwick, this is awesome.
Now looking at the pics, I see that you’re supposed to pick up your own food at another window. LOL. I think that’s why we ended up eating someone else’s order. There was some confusion. I was drunk, I didn’t realize. The other people ordered well at least.
The Shop is going to open officially during the Bushwick Open Studios (June 5th-7th). That’s an art festival spanning all around the neighborhood in art spaces and even people’s personal apartments.
