I’m happy to have Tio Wally (long-time Me So Hungry reader) aboard to send in his eating adventures from across America.
Greetings from … I don’t know where I am today yet. But when I find out, I’ll let y’all know.
I just wanted to wish the Me So Hungry universe a happy National Food-Coma Day. (The effects of Tryptophan, by the way, is an urban myth. It’s eating double or triple your normal caloric intake, exausting your poor body, that makes you sleepy. Still, “Tryptophan†is awfully fun to blame, not to mention, say.)
In that spirit, I’m posting a song I wrote, recorded, and performed by my lonesome about eating the “other†dark meat. It’s called “Mi Gato†(My Cat). It may not be genius, new or exciting, and I screwed up the translation a bit, but it’s a snappy little ditty nonetheless. It’s about making fajitas, or more accurately, gatitas.
In sum it’s a heartwarming, food-centric ditty. My way of wishing MSH readers worldwide a Happy Thanksgiving. And if you know any Spanish speakers, have them translate it for you.
