Mia texted me last minute yesterday to come to a TV party for Made in America on the Travel Channel …at a new burger spot down the street from my work. I didn’t know what she was talking about. Turned out a new Schnipper’s opened in the area (23rd St & Madison). So I dragged over my new Yamaha keytar and You Rock It (MIDI guitar) I got in the mail and was ready to party. I felt pretty stupid carry them around, but nobody treated me any different. I guess that’s NY for you.
I remember I was pretty grossed out from the Schnipper’s in Midtown. But this time I was impressed. I usually don’t even like free food, but the Turkey Burger and the Blue Cheese Beef Burger was pretty good. Green Chile Burger was promising. Also I’m not a fan of sweets, but we dug the Salted Caramel Milkshake. Only thing that tasted funny was the Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
Oh and the TV show was pretty cool. The host was there at the party. On the show, they went to the Gibson Guitar factory to see how they build them. That was rad.
Speaking of guitars, that You Rock It Guitar I got is pretty bad ass …for a Guitar Hero controller.
