I went out yesterday to try Burger King’s new Jalapeño & Cheddar BK STUFFED STEAKHOUSE burger that I mentioned in my last post about novelty burgers. Fortunately the burger doesn’t look like the press shot, which looks a bit like Play-doh for the cheese and jalapeño bits. The cheese bits are melted in real life, which makes more sense. Made me think of the old Hormel Frank ‘N Stuff wieners stuffed with cheese in the 80’s.

The burger was okay. The jalapeño gave it a bit of heat. The Pablano mayonnaise sauce was good. Two of favorite things in the life: the spicy and the mayo! But I think I would have enjoyed it more if there were jalapeño slices and cheese on top instead, but that’s not so weird or much of a novelty. Wait. Are they going for weird?

The Jalapeño & Cheddar BK STUFFED STEAKHOUSE Burger is out now until Feb. 20, 2011 for $3.99. For the sake of transparency, the burger was purchased using an old gift card Burger King gave me.

Whatever happened to the Angry Whopper? Dang, that was pretty good.

Yes. I want back Angry Whopper and the full-size shredded hash brown patties I remembered in the 80’s.
